The Strength of Vulnerability: Life's best paradox

Vulnerability is a great strength to recognise. The reason why I use the word "recognise" is because, while all of us ARE vulnerable, we do not like to admit that we are. A lot of us see vulnerability as a weakness and I know this because I too, thought it to be a weakness.
I watched a remarkably interesting video earlier on this week in which Brene Brown mentioned a remarkably interesting perspective about vulnerability.
She said that at any given time, vulnerability creates a negative or positive perspective depending on how well you accept and understand yourself. She said that vulnerability can make you believe in your self-worth and help you find a sense of belonging. She further added that it can help you to be more aware of your feelings and thereby make you more empathic and create a beauty within yourself...
I absolutely love that last point.
I could not help but draw the parallels of my own life with what she had to say. For many years I had thought that I would never be "normal" because of all these insecurities that I had. This is where the matter of perspective come in; I still believe all these things, but it is now through a positive perspective. Here lies the strength, here lies the superpower. Vulnerability has taught me that beauty is within the insecurity - like a great paradox of this life - and empathy Is the key to relationships. Through my vulnerability, I grow stronger because I get to know myself better and I become aware of my influence on others and about the energy that I carry. It makes me grateful, genuine, and of course, powerful.
In addition to this, during the class we conducted a personal swot activity where we listed down our various strengths, weaknesses, threats, and opportunity.

While completing this, I found that I do hold more strength than vulnerability but some of my strength is a vulnerability – my ambition, for example, it is a strength because it gives me purpose, but it is a vulnerability because it can lead me into negative situations and may have me lose care for myself in the journey to achieve my goals. It is paradoxical but the strength in those vulnerabilities lie in the lessons from the mistakes that will be made.
Vulnerability can undoubtedly lead to my demise, but it can also help me to become a better person and to understand the importance of changing perspective to live a positive life with good energy
